Hello, my name is Tuesday. Poise is my character.
I'm from Monterey, California, and moved from there to Maine and, from there, to New Jersey, where I currently attend high school. I think best while sitting on swings in the fall or drinking hot chocolate by a sunny window. I love to draw and I practically breathe science fiction, so I suppose that is how my Posy was born.
When I first discovered the Riddick universe, I had no idea the extent of its detail. The first movie (combined with its main character's fantastic turquoise eyes and, well, the fact that it was Vin Diesel looking through them) caught my interest when I came down to see what my siblings were almost halfway done watching one weekend. Curiosity got the better of me and I joined them. Well.. The rest is a blur of sketches, schemes, showing the movie to a bunch of exasperated friends, and, somehow, ending up with the director's cut editions of all three installments one Christmas morning. I wanted a part of it- badly. And when author-artists want a part of something, what do they do? They make their Own Character.
Cheerfully, I did just that. She was christened Poise, because poise, to me, is the most important trait of any powerful female. She was given a home in the underground cave systems of what I later decided must be a Fallen Eden. She was eventually assigned colors- gold, black, pale lilac- and dresses- rompers, gowns, robes with crowns- and a tragic backstory with a twisted outcome. There are others alongside her on her ever-winding path, but she has always been unique to me, personally. She showed up here and there, until I could finally finish my planning and put down some words on her tale. The whole thing is still in progress today. It is far from done, and farther from perfect. But in the end, I hope that I'll never forget her. I hope that neither will my readers.
And now that is what I come to- you, reader. Many things inspire me, but none more than the knowledge that I have work posted in this vast universe and someone somewhere is observing it, taking notice, even occasionally.. caring about it! This is why I thank you.
Thank you for reading, reader.
And good bye for now!
